     When Srinivas returned to the Sun Set Point, the sun had already set. It was dark and all that was visible were the lamps lit in the arena and the half moon playing peek-a-boo amidst the thick clouds that were gliding fast in the night sky. The large crowd which had gathered during the day light in the area had drastically thinned down to a couple of people. He ran to the bench where he and Lata, his wife to be, spent the entire evening. Using the torch in his cell phone, he looked around the bench, under and over it, and also the length that they had walked back to the parking lot. But to his dismay he couldn't find the lost KEY. Where would he find the key in a place like Chennai? 11 year old Stephan woke up in the wee hours and started his day by delivering news papers and milk on his bicycle going door to door in the city of Bangalore. He worked hard considering the situation his family was in and supported them with the measly wages that he earned. It was a time in the morning when other children would be soundly snoozing in their cosy bed. He used to render his services to our family as well. Stephan had to carry the burden of aiding his family by doing menial jobs. A job where he was not only answerable to the residents he approached every morning, but also his employer and family. The burden and the responsibility of his family had already set on his shoulders at a very young age so much so he couldn't remain a kid for long. While many children are pampered with long hours of sleep, good food and a tension free mind for the next day's survival; children like Stephan at an innocent young age are fed with thoughts of sacrifice and familial duties. There are many Festivals celebrated in our country in a calendar year. A few Festival wishes of the year 2018 that have been scrawled by me have been consolidated. No matter what the occasion is at present... may you be blessed as you read on.

Adolf Hitler  the German Politician, demagogue, and Pan German revolutionary was the leader of the Nazi Party. As a dictator, he initiated World War II in Europe. The Nazi Germans in their riot of massacring prisoners from the  concentration camp  were cruel enough to use  Gas chamber to kill them. Until recent I kept wondering how atrocious the act was and the plight of the victims within those vicious gas chambers were, as they drew their last breath. I had never anticipated a day when a similar experience would be meted on my Mother and me in our very home. Back in the Nazi's gas chambers if it was  Carbon Monoxide that was used to kill people; our home was engulfed in smoke from the cigarettes emitting Nicotine and Carbon dioxide for hours together in a day.  It's surely a delight to be living in an apartment in one of the top floors. 😊 It's a sheer joy to behold the lush greenery that the city still holds with buildings towering in between them; ...

The aroma of the garam masala (powdered mixture of spices) that was being stewed; the pungent smell of the garnish of garlic, chilly, bay leaves and sesame seeds; the vanilla essences was probably added in the right measurement into the dessert that was being prepared; and when the peppery aroma of the fish that was being fried caressed my nose, my famished stomach roared and rumbled; and it occurred to my senses that I had mentally slipped into my neighbor's kitchen during a session of meditation that I was undertaking on an empty stomach one afternoon. 😋 I was under the impression that ' Fasting ' was a piece of cake, but when one does so with a neighbor who cooks mouth watering dishes, it surely turns out to be an arduous task. Task in terms of Self Control. If people gorge on food thrice a day while snacking intermittently; going on a Fast is a part of every culture for purification, spiritual purposes and good health. Yet another busy day had come to an end. My ex-colleague Anitha and I were waiting for the bus at the bus stand to get back to the office after representing the NGO (Non Governmental Organisation) that we worked for at a charity event of a prestigious IT Company. We came across a pitiable sight of a stray dog which looked very weak, all skin and bones, sick and hungry, limping across the bus stand. We were moved by the sight. But I was overwhelmed with admiration for Anitha as she quickly sprinted to a petty shop which was located close by; bought a packet of buns and fed the ailing animal. I found this act to be very curtious and divine. It surely wasn't a surprise to me when I learn't one fine morning that Anitha had bought food from a hotel for an old beggar man who had perched on the foot path. If you have assessed Anitha to have come from a rich and affluent family, then you are wrong. She comes from a middle class family and is indeed rich only in her Heart. 💖 Bles...
