     When Srinivas returned to the Sun Set Point, the sun had already set. It was dark and all that was visible were the lamps lit in the arena and the half moon playing peek-a-boo amidst the thick clouds that were gliding fast in the night sky. The large crowd which had gathered during the day light in the area had drastically thinned down to a couple of people. He ran to the bench where he and Lata, his wife to be, spent the entire evening. MY LOVE AFFAIR

Two big bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolates and one big bar of Kit Kat Chocolate, was what was handed over to me by my friend Rashmi when I was studying in the Pre University College. My mouth watered at the sight of the big chocolate bars and I even resisted the urge to grab them away from her hand as I have been a chocolate lover ever since I was a kid. I was utterly disappointed to learn from her that the chocolates were not for me, but to be kept in the refrigerator at my home!!! I soon learn't that the chocolates were gifted to Rashmi by her boy friend and the lass in love didn't want her family to discover about the affair. My response to her was a curt, "NO". RECEIVING WITH JOY!

"Akka (elder sister) I want you to have this," said my little cousin brother as I was leaving my Grandpa's home after a short visit. I was surprised to see his little hand outstretched holding two chocolates in them. He must have been an 8 or a 9 year old kid then. I being very much older to him felt awkward to accept them. I remember that I was presented small gifts by my biological brother during my birthdays in the past when he was a student. Back then there was at least an occasion to accept gifts, but when I saw the little ones outstretched hand with chocolates in them, I thought that was very sweet and at the same time a thought kept gnawing in the back of my mind telling, "you over grown buffalo should be the one giving him sweets and not taking them from him."
