Sentiments Scrawled

People readily do a jig even today to some of the songs of the 20th Century's celebrated American Musical group ABBA. One song in particular takes me instantly back to their time, which is 'Ring Ring ' . What stands out for me in the song is the mention of the 'Phone'. The 'Telephone' was then the only smartest means to connect to people living in far off places on one to one basis. When the Scottish emigrant Alexander Grahim Bill invented the 'Telephone' in the year 1876 , least did he expect his invention to evolve into better model and simultaneously change people's lives. The once upon a time device that produced clearly intelligible replication of the human voice has now evolved and is known as the 'Cell Phone'. The  Cell Phone which was invented in the 1970's by Martin Cooper has now taken wings into being known as a hand held personal computer with a mobile operating system and an integrated mobile broad band cellular net...

It would be such a delight to summon a Genie by rubbing a Magic Lamp like Alladin;😄 or get lost in a forest like the siblings Hansel and Gretel and be found in a house made out of candy, cakes and biscuits;😋 or aroused out of a deep slumber by his true love's kiss, by Prince Charming like he did to the Sleeping Beauty.😍 From times yore Fairy Tales have been a part of a child's growing up. Be it in the rural area as folk tales or the urban areas as fairy tales, children enjoy listening to a fascinating good story. The Fairy Tale that captivated me was 'The Little Mermaid'. I fantasized how wonderful it would be to dive into the deep sea like the beautiful Mermaid with the aquatic creatures; touch down at the abyss; explore the centuries old sunken ships and extract treasures from them; pluck pearls from the oysters; and finally, befriend the savage sharks and the gigantic blue whales.  Some proclaim that the Mermaids and Mermen are a fragment of a layman...

When Bhagya, a domestic help and her family were a victim of an explosion by the LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) leak; help started pouring in, in terms of money when a family Bhagya worked for put up an appeal for the same on the INTERNET. The donation not only brought Bhagya the basic necessities and medicines, but with the excess amount she even managed to build a small house for herself in her village. Two big bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolates and one big bar of Kit Kat Chocolate, was what was handed over to me by my friend Rashmi when I was studying in the Pre University College. My mouth watered at the sight of the big chocolate bars and I even resisted the urge to grab them away from her hand as I have been a chocolate lover ever since I was a kid. "Twinkle Twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are!?!" It surely was a joy to look up at the night sky as a kid and wonder if the twinkling little stars could be reached.
